1. Length up to which Shear Links provided in Box section is not mentioned.

Reply:-The length is mentioned as CB1, CB2 to CB6 in bottom slab and in top slab it is
mentioned as CT1, CT2 to CT6.

2. Shear links should be connected to Main Reinforcements and not with Distribution
Reinforcements.
Reply:-By connecting the shear link with main reinforcement it will reduce the cover of
reinforcement, so it is provided with distribution..

3. Extended portion of the Minor Bridge is not Structurally connected with the Existing Minor
Bridge. This may lead to uneven settlement of the New & Old structure in Earthquake (Area
falls in Earthquake Zone-IV) or High Flood situations.
Reply:-the existing bridge is arch bridge and widening structure is Box type, so it not possible to
chip the top slab and foundations of both the structures.so 10mm gap is recommended. may
