INFORMATION ABOUT MIGRATION FROM OHSAS 18001:2007 TO ISO 45001:2018

This letter is a part of our ongoing commitment to keep you informed of changes that could affect your
Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) certification. These changes will affect you if you
currently have or are working towards related TÜV SÜD management system certification.

As per the policies of IAF and NABCB, we must ensure that all certified companies / clients get upgraded to new
standard within the mandatory migration period of 3 years. This demands to have the migration plan of certification
body related to existing certificates and upgrade to new applicable standards for each certificate issued.

We kindly request you to note the below –

 Few recently released certificates (based on for OHSAS 18001:2007) may have validity beyond 2021-03-31.
With the migration policy, all such certificates now are VALID until 2021-03-31. Any certifications to OHSAS
18001:2007 will be automatically gets terminated at the end of the migration period by 2021-03-31
 For all currently certified and new clients – Audits (certification, repeat & surveillance) against old standard
may be conducted only until 2019-09-30.
 From 1st October, 2019, all audits (currently certified and new clients) shall only be against the new
Standard ISO 45001:2018.
