Cambridge International has a well-established programme of professional training courses for Cambridge
International teachers. Our training gives teachers the knowledge and skills they need to deliver our
programmes and qualifications for 5 to 19 year olds, and develop successful Cambridge International
learners.

Who are the courses for?

Extension courses are for teachers who have
some experience of teaching Cambridge
International syllabuses and are looking for
further help in their understanding of this area,
as well as support in improving their classroom
practice. It is preferable, although not essential,
that teachers have followed an introductory
course.

Content will vary for each syllabus, but typically includes:
 review of teachers' assessment issues
 overview of different teaching methods and strategies
 teaching strategies applied to the syllabus
 discussions on formative and summative assessment
 revision strategies for candidates.
