SUMMARY

A practical and effective way to address a route system pick way is through still a
linear model, this mathematical structure proved successful in various scenarios, which
is why this research has been a great help to address the problem and to have positive
results.

The investigation began observing how the allocation of collection points was made,
often empirically or other times playing the criterion of the closest distance, but that
ultimately is a convenient but effective way to achieve positive economic results for
the company.

After interviewing managers, we proceeded to select one of the sectors, which was
concluded to make use of the collection points of the village of El Aliso, taking as
example 150 collection points, which should be done in 8.5 hours max but it has an
additional payment to workers. We proceeded to calculate distances between points,
and measuring the vehicle speed, thereby gather performance by drawing a linear
model was evaluated. Solver was used with binary variables to develop and program
the linear model, for it was divided into 15 sectors, each of them their costs were
calculated, which ultimately when comparing the two scenarios, with the linear model
it grew to 22% savings in costs.

This allows the company to genear better use of their resources and make a profit by
savings generated by reordering the sequence just pick ups.
