PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS

 A bi-monthly schedule of duties and off-duties are prepared in advance


 OFFICE HOURS:

6am -2pm Cook I (First shift)

6am - 2pm Food Service worker (First shift)

7:00am – 3:00pm Nutritionist- Dietitian (First shift)

8:00am - 4:00pm Nutritionist – Dietitian (Second Shift)

8:00am – 5:00pm Food Service Worker (Second shift)

 Meetings/ conferences of dietary personnel are conducted as necessary to discuss issues on


dietetic services and problems.
 Each member of the Dietary Service is subjected to physical and medical examinations upon
acceptance, and once a year thereafter for the issuance of health certificate and sanitary permit to
operate.
 Dietary Service personnel should observe desirable personal hygiene, habits, safe food handling
and serving practices.

The following should be practice:

1. Daily Bath.

2. Hair should be kept clean and neat, and should be kept under control on the job with a
cap or hair net.

3. Make employee should be clean shaven and must have short hair, female employees
should adopt a simple well- combed hair style.

4. Hands should be washed with soap and water before starting to work, after handling
unclean objects, after going to the toilet, after keeping hair in place, after coughing or
sneezing and after handling objects that have come in contact with the mouth.

5. Fingernails should be kept clean; colored nail polish should be avoided.


6. Clean and washable aprons and uniforms should be worn at all times.

7. Heavy fancy earrings, bracelets, curlers, and expensive rings should not be worn when
on duty; wedding rings and wrist watches are permissible.

8. Handkerchief/ towels should be used to wipe face and arms.

9. Smoking is prohibited in any part of the kitchen.

10. Unless special precautions are taken, dietary personnel should not be allowed to work
when he has a cold or has an open sore, infected cut or boil.

 Uniform
1. Nutritionist – Dietitians should wear:
White Uniform -Monday to Sunday
2. Cooks, FSW`s and Job Order Employees:
White T-shirt and Dark Maong Pants -Monday to Sunday

 Visiting Area
Visitors should be entertained only in the dining area and strictly prohibited to enter the
preparation and cooking area.

 Off Duties
1. Off duty is not a right, but a privilege, therefore it can only be given if the services will
not be hampered or disrupted.
2. Schedule of off duties and assignments are subject to change for the good of the service.
3. Absences should not be substituted with off duties.
4. If personnel will go successive off duties, a reliever should notify the ND on duty and
personnel concerned. Four days are allowed number of maximum successive off duties.

 Penalty

Forfeiture of off duty will be imposed in case of personnel go on leave without notification
and approval of ND II:

1-3 days absent = 1 off duty forfeited
