Rahil Bhardwaj started theatre as a student from the Department of Dramatics, Faculty of Performing

Arts, The M.S.University of Baroda in 2010 and then graduated in Acting from National School of Drama
in 2016. He has Acted in above 60 plays till date and counting. He was honored with Pyare Mohan Sahai
Smriti Samman for Acting at Patliputra Natya Mahotsav 2018, Patna. He is also a Gold Medalist in Acting
from The M.S.University of Baroda in 2013. He has worked with eminent theatre directors known
globally including Suresh Bhardwaj, Robin Das, Tripurai Sharma, Hema Singh, Ricardo Abad, Kamaluddin
Nilu, Abhilash Pillai, Niranjan Goswami, Anniruddha Khutwad, Prabhakar Dabhade, Santanu Bose to
name a few. Being a student of NSD, he participated in the Asian Traditional Theatre Workshop held in
Beijing, China where four different countries of Asia i.e India, Japan, Korea and China collaborated
together to work on a project proposed by U.N.E.S.C.O.
Despite being from Hindi Background he also has command on Gujarati Language and for the same he
has also performed few lead characters in Gujarati as well.
He believes that his work in Graduate(Gujarati), Phandi and Krapp’s Last Tape is the peak of his talent
and he also believes to add more performances to this list.
Apart from theatre he also has keen interest in film making for which he also got the Best Film Award for
his film “2 Killers” in Frameboxx Film Festival in 2010. His one of films “Accidental Achievement” was
also nominated in San Francisco Film Festival in 2011.
For stage plays, Beech Samandar Main was his first directorial. Other plays directed by him are Refund
and 12 Angry Men.
