Meet Miss Michel!

Hello! My name is Miss Michel and I will be your student’s 3rd grade teacher this year! This
is my first-year teaching and I am very excited to begin my teaching career at Somewhere
Elementary School. My goal is to make this school year one that your child will never
forget!
To begin, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from Dakota State
University in December of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. While
going to school, I coached both volleyball and basketball at various age levels. Working
with kids and playing sports have always been two of my biggest passions, so being able to
combine them both was amazing! Other things I enjoy are spending time with my family,
watching new shows on Netflix, and reading new books. I am always looking for interesting
new books to read, so let me know if you have any good suggestions! 😊
Our back to school night is August 26 beginning at 6:00pm. At this meeting, you will be
given important information about the school, events for the upcoming school year, and my
classroom. Plus, this is a great chance for us to meet each other and for me to get to know
the wonderful student’s that will be in my class this year! I am very excited to meet
everyone, and I hope that you are all able to attend!
Throughout the year, I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns that
you have. Below, I have included my contact information and the best times to reach me
throughout the day. I have also included our class website URL which contains information
about upcoming events, what we will be doing each day, and links to different resources
that we will be using throughout the year. Please cut off the bottom section of this letter
