Dear Dickinson 6th Grade Band and Orchestra Parents, 

 
It  gives  us  great  pleasure  to  invite  you  and  your  family  to  the  ​2019  Dickinson  Fine  Arts  Academy  Band  and 
Orchestra  First  Performances  to  be  held  on  Thursday,  November  21st,  at  7:00pm  in  the  Dickinson  Fine  Arts 
Academy  Little  Gymnasium  and  Little  Theater.  Our  performances  will  feature  the  Beginning  Band  and  Orchestra. 
Admission  to  this  concert  is  One  or  more  if  you would like! Non - Perishable Food Item Donation for each family 
(If  possible!).We  will  then  donate  these  items  to  the  Food  Bank  of  Northern  Indiana  on  behalf  of  the  Band  and 
Orchestra.  Please  encourage  your  friends  and  relatives  to  join  us  for  an evening of great music and a celebration of 
our  fabulous  Dickinson  Performing  Arts  Students.  Below  you  will  find  some  final  reminders and a schedule of the 
evening’s activities.  
 
Concert Schedule​: 
6:15pm Students Begin Arriving at School (Enter Door #2) 
6:30pm Students Report to Band and Orchestra Rooms 
7:00pm Performances Begin 
Orchestra - Little Theater 
Band - Little Gym 
7:30pm Performances End 
 
Reminders​:  
● Everyone enters Door #2 
● Admission Cost is 1 Non - Perishable Food Donation for each family or more if you would like (If 
possible) 
● Dress for the Concert is: Navy Blue uniform shirt, khaki pants/skirt, and dark shoes and socks. (​No 
jeans or wrong colored shirts and pants if possible​) 
● Excellent concert etiquette is expected at all times. No talking or distractions during the performance. 
● Please plan to arrive early – follow the schedule above carefully! 
● Students are required to stay for the ENTIRE performance. 
● Plan to be flexible and very attentive to directions for the evening. This is a special night and we would 
like to make sure that everything runs smoothly. 
● At the end of the performance, please remain in the gym while students return instruments to the music 
rooms and retrieve their personal items. They will return to you shortly.
