I first started my research with what does a CEO do for there day to day activities and I

researched many articles and career exploration sites and came up with the conclusion that a

CEO of the company and the main parts of there job is to make sure to make the biggest

decisions in a company and they are also the highest part of the company there decisions can

affect the entire company with just one say. There image also has to be very clean they are the

ones that affect the entire team as well. And these are just one of many things that the CEO must

over see as being the head top of the company but also a CEO does not just become a CEO of

major business you can become your own CEO when you own your own business and you create

one because you are the one responsible for overseeing that responsibility. But when you are the

CEO of a major huge company you are usually picked by the board of directors which include

the most important people on your team they include but are not limited to the CFO, there are

thing like the chair of audit and VP and presidents. But all these are under the CEO.

If you did not want to start your own business and went to a company that was trying to

find a new CEO you would need the following to be considered for the job you would need to

have a Bachelors or master’s degree in business, usually people hiring would ask of you if you

had previous senior management experience. The reason they want to know this is because you

will be making these huge decisions on a huge team that needs to be ran by you. One thing as

well when considering being a CEO and in my opinion is the most important is being a very

great negotiator. With out having thing skill if you are the owner of this huge company and you

oversee every day to day business and you come and meet the wrong people who are wanting to

take over the company you have to hit back with your negation skills to be able to outsmart

them.

I will now talk about the salaries that CEOs make starting from entry up until

experienced. The average pay for someone who is being a CEO for the first time can range

anywhere from 74,000 a year and the pay can still go up once you up tain the ability and skill

you can always make more but more people are in the middle because they have middle

experience these are the people who have been CEOs for a while maybe like 5-10 years and they

will start earing a salary that is around $158,000 a year but a lot of this salary comes from

different things such as bonus, commission, and profit sharing. Since that is what a CEO is in

charge of as well, they get the final say in budgets for the year and what direction the company is

headed and can pay themselves through that. Now for the most experience if you have been in

the game for a while you will see you pay go any where from $158,000 a year to $310,000 a year

and this stage you will be able to have a lot of money but it does not stop there if you are not the

owner of the company that is your pay but like me I want to open up my own business and I have

been researching many famous people who became there own CEO and they make a ton of

money for Example my idol Jeffree Star makes over 11 Million a year and that is his income

from being the CEO of his one company Jeffree Star cosmetics I know money is t not what is

important here but I mean it’s a start.

The pros and cons of being a CEO is if the company is falling and comes crashing down

you are looked bad upon because being the CEO of the company you are the one who oversees

how the business is running. And this can affect your reputation if one company was to fail

maybe no ones else would want to hire you for that positions anymore. But the pro is that you

can earn a lot of money and experience if you where wanting to start your own business an also

when you do a great job you get the benefit of saying yes I did a great job at running this

company. Another con that comes with this job positions is if you cannot adapt to this type of
4
CEO
career it may affect someone’s mental health because this title is very demanding and can affect

your life very much if you have children and a wife you will see them less often because you can

be consumed in you work which is a lot of work.

I am very well suited to do this kind of work because I am a hard worker and I have

worked many jobs where I was under pressure a majority of the work year so I believe that I

have a string mentally to be able to do this very demanding position because I want to build my

own work empire I want to be make the rules and decisions I feel as if I was born to do this job.

This type of job has a very clear career path because of all the programs that have been designed

for this career even if this is something you have not ben thinking about doing you entire life you

could still be in college and get the degree that is necessary for this career you will first do this

by taking the pre requests that your college has told you to take for these courses you can choose

many bachelors as well there is bachelors in management, operations, and admin. All these

career paths will show you the way on being the top of a business as if right now I am working

towards my bachelors in business management because I want to gain the knowledge to be able

to take on a business and manage it to be able to grow it to a success.

I tried conducting a few interviews but many of the people I wanted to interview where

way busy because of the time of year it is they are bust with budgeting for the next year as well

as getting ready for the biggest season of the year. Which are the holidays. But I did have the

opportunity to talk to my step dad who is a small business owner and he considers him self to be

his own CEO my step dad has not education experience and has had his business open for almost

15 years he told me it was easy for home because he knows a ton of math and what it takes to run

a business he knows and understand all the laws around him with business as well. He said the

hardest part for him was the first 5 years because he had to build his clientele by word of mouth

and he is his only employee as well he decoded to do it this way so it will be easier to manage

everything. And all my dad told me that the only thing he regrets was not going to school he

feels like it’s a little too late but I know that I want to be successful and leave my imprint on the

world I don’t really care for the money I care that I want to be someone and membered for many

years to come and being able to help many people with my health and beauty business
