First and for most I would like to thanks the Almighty ALLAH (S.W.A) for everything, without
him this portfolio is impossible to make. I thank you for the love, guidance, and strength
you have given to me. I love you my God.

Thank you also to Ma’am Stephanie Mae Richa, adviser of Second Year St. Ignatius of
Loyola, for welcoming me in her class and for helping me to the task I brought with me.
And to Ma’am Loida Traya, Grade 1 Adviser, I send you my gratitude for allowing me to
conduct a three energizer song to your classes and the Instructional Materials I made for
your class which I work so hard for it. Thank you very much.

And most especially I thank my parents, Hadja Mahara H. Ali and Hadji Fahad H. Ali for
those inspirational words and reminders they always give almost every time I go home on
weekends. Only ALLAH S.W.A knows how much I sacrifice on this and just for you I will
endure all of the obstacles and trials in life until I make you proud, happy, and satisfied. I
know words are not enough to thank you but I will do my best to finish these challenges.

Lastly, I will thank our mentor Ma’am Nieves Cutab because of her I faced the reality and
accept the truth that this is really the profession destined in me. And thank you for the
patience and understanding.

The purpose of this portfolio is to see how far I achieve the goals in my Field Study 3
which is to develop and utilize appropriate technologies that are being used in teaching-
learning process.

This is one of the things that I will value most because it contains my experiences on
the said goals of this subject. This will serve as the evidence of my success in this subject
though there is more that I will meet in the future. So, this portfolio will be part of me.

This portfolio will remind me of the memorable and a success from a headache
moments in performing those contents of these. Fulfillment is one of my goals and I must
work on it I hand. I have to give more sacrifice to aim the goal of life.

This course is designed to enrich the students’ experiences in developing and utilizing

appropriate technology to facilitate learning through microteaching. It shall also provide

exposure and hands on opportunities in the use of instructional or communication technology

in tutorial, remedial, and enhancement teaching. Tutorial teaching focuses on the application of

appropriate tutoring skills like explaining, demonstrating, providing feedback and checking

understanding. Remedial teaching starts from the difficulties of the learners where

interpretation, explanation and demonstration of relevant points are done. Enhancement

teaching is a practical strategy of augmenting a lesson incorporated in microteaching.

Microteaching is the application of being a child-friendly teacher. This includes addressing

student-diversity through gender-sensitivity, inclusiveness, and non-discriminating traits by the

pre-service teacher.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, the pre-service teacher is expected to:

1. Have applied the principles of teaching in tutorial, remedial and enhancement activities.

2. Have used appropriate technology by selecting and preparing the teaching materials that

best suit the needs of the learners.

3. Have developed and utilized instructional materials appropriate to a chosen lesson in

Microteaching.

4. Have made reflections in their journal writings indicating realizations and insights related

to the microteaching experiences and their use of technology in it.

Field Study 3 is a memorable one it’s because it allows me to express and show my
talent in arts. Actually I love colors and I like cuttings and because of the instructional
materials I make I feel glad and I missed my Art-1 subject with Ma’am Dalman. Singing
is not easy especially if it was an action song. Yes, I can sing and I can dance but I
cannot mix the two because everytime I do the mixture I got easily distracted and
commit mistake and in the end I will laugh-out-loud, and when I did the energizer one
of the students laugh with me secretly. There was a time also that when the teacher is
discussing there is one student keeps on yawning and the other one is playing with his
pen and I find myself smiling because I can relate to that situation.

So much for that, I really missed being an elementary and high school student. I missed
being a naughty and a talkative sometimes especially when the teacher is not around.
And if I can control my life I will stop the time where I am always happy and stress-
free with my friends. I missed my friends so much.
