ENERGY EFFICIENT

LIGHTNING
ABSTRACT
Lighting contributes significantly to business energy
use and operating costs. Increasing energy prices
highlight the need to reduce the cost of lighting.
Energy use associated with lighting systems can be
reduced by up to 82 per cent if energy efficient
lighting practices are adopted. Efficient lighting
systems not only reduce energy consumption but
improve the working environment, increase safety
and enhance staff well-being. This technical report
is designed to help you identify appropriate and
reliable energy efficient lighting technology that
would be suitable for your facility. The report has
been written for lighting consultants, energy
auditors, suppliers, installers, project managers and
businesses that are preparing and reviewing tender
documents for lighting projects.

Respected Ma’am,
With due respect I, the undergraduate of B.Tech (3rdsem) have completed report
on “Energy Efficient Lightning” under the course: Humanities (HU – 381).

Though I am in the learning curve, this report has enabled me to get an exclusive
idea about efficient energy lightning. Installation of compact fluorescent lamps,
introducing skylights into open spaces such as warehouse and so on to save
energy.

I would be thankful once again if you please give me your judicious advice o n the
effort.

Yours Sincerely,
MayukhKantiChanda

CONCLUSION
Lighting contributes significantly to business

adopted.Efficient lighting systems not only reduce
energy consumption but improve the working
environment, increase safety and enhance staff
well-being. Efficient energy lightning systems
should be adopted in order to create a better
future.
RECOMMENDATION
In spite of the high efficiency of the lightning
systems mentioned in the report, these might not
be readily available to everyone. Also the cost of
motion sensors , automated devices could be
make them unaffordable in the common
household.
A few practices can also increase the efficiency of
lightning systems.
 Assess the available natural light and potential
for improvement, introduce natural light into
open spaces such as warehouses (e.g. through
skylights).
 Identify lights that could be upgraded with more
energy efficient lighting. Assess options for de-
lamping, dimming or multilevel switching to
reduce energy consumption.
