Topic: Solving Energy

Electricity can be generated through many ways, and one of the most used
process is thermal power by using fuels like coal or uranium to heat up the water
until it generates steam which powers a turbine and generates electricity, but
some of the fuels used like oil and coal are finite. Our solution to this is to use
energy by wind, water, and most popular, the sun. To utilze the energy from the
sun we use solar panels to absorb sunlight.
I’m totally in for using solar panels because it is nature friendly, unlike coal which
generates smoke to that damages our atmosphere.I believe that using solar
technology not only we benefit for the electrity it makes but we are also saving
our planet. But solar panels are not yet efficient. According energysage, the
highest efficiency solar panels as of 2019 are only 20% - 22% which is very low.
Since the Earth is round some places aren’t as sunny as others, combine it with
very low efficiency of solar panels it would seem impossible to power the world
with solar energy. In spite of the limitations it is possible to power the world with
solar energy we just need funding and a ton of space. Meanwhile, solar cells – the
part of solar panels that converts sunlight to electrical energy —are getting better
and cheaper.
As technology improves, many other way of generating electricity can be made.
At the same time, some of it would be for the better of our world or for the
worse. But by using renewable energy to power our world we could be living in a
new landscape where everyone has access to electricity. Technological advances
are making our world better than today.
