A Confession for Your Children

God’s mercy hovers over my child. The covenant I have with God in the blood of Jesus extends
to my children (and grandchildren)--covering them completely. Everything God gives to me,
He’ll give to my children including peace and protection. I lay hold of God’s plans and promises
for my children by faith, and I call those things of change to come to pass in their life.

I believe God for my child’s deliverance and salvation. I put all of my trust in the Lord
concerning my children (and grandchildren) and am filled with joy because I know they are
turning to the Lord. No matter how far away my child seems to be, there is no place where God
can’t reach them. I’m not moved by what I see, but by what the Word says. I believe that Christ
will capture their heart, and they will follow and obey Him.

all their ways. [Ps 91:2]

You Lord are their refuge and fortress. You are their glory and the triumph of their heads. [Ps 91]
I confess that my children delight themselves in the Lord and You give them the desires of their
heart. [Ps 37:4]

I confess that my children are willing and obedient and they eat the best of the land. [Is 1:19]

I confess that my children obey their parents in the Lord. My children honor, esteem, and value
as precious their parents, for this is the first command with promise, that it may be well with my
children and they may live long on the earth. [Eph 6:2]

My children choose life and love you Lord and obey Your voice and cling to You; for You are
their life and the length of their days.

I plead the blood of the Lord Jesus on my children, my (future) grandchildren, and all those You

6 Faith Confessions Over Your Kids

When it comes to our kids, it’s easy to say when we see.

If they’re rooms are messy, it’s easy to say, “Man, you’re so messy!”

If they don’t listen when we tell them to do something, it’s easy to say, “You never listen to me!”

But anybody can say what they see! The Bible tells us to “call those things that be not as though
they were” (Romans 4:17). In other words, start saying what God says, before you see it. This is
how He gets things done – it’s how faith works.
God gave us power in our words. As parents, we want to speak words of faith over our kids –
words that help them get there! Here are 6 things to confess over your kids:

1) I refuse to fear (2 Timothy 1:7, Mark 5:36). Father, I refuse to be afraid about my children. I
surround them with faith and with the love of God. I imagine them successful, happy, protected,
and healthy. Whenever I think of my children and their future I have a sound mind. I picture
them surrounded with God’s power and love.

2) Our family walks in love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8, Ephesians 5:1,2). My relationship with my
children is blessed; we walk in love with each other and enjoy each other as God intended. Love
is free to reign in our household. We don’t allow strife or division, but declare that our home is
filled with peace and harmony. Give us wisdom, Father, to bless and help each other.

3) My children are hungry for God (Ephesians 1:17, 18). I declare that my children love God
and are sensitive to His voice. They are hungry for the things of the Spirit. Revelation from God
flows to them – they see and understand spiritual things. They know what God has called them to
do, and they want to do it!

4) My children are overcomers (1 John 4:4, Romans 8:37). The Greater One is in my
children. He helps them, guides them, encourages them, protects them, and empowers them
today. He is greater than any plan or force of the enemy, and causes my children to overcome in
every situation of life, in Jesus’ Name.

5) Peace reigns in the heart and mind of my children (Isaiah 54:1, Col. 3:15). My children
are taught of the Lord, so they have God’s peace upon them in every sense of the word –
wholeness, completeness, nothing lacking, nothing lost. That peace guides them and keeps them.
My children have great peace in their lives.

6) My children are diligent (Proverbs 10:4, 2 Peter 3:14). My children are not lazy but good
workers who persevere, even when it’s hard. They stick with things and refuse to quit. They are
steady, earnest, and energetic. Because of that, they will not be poor but rich, according to God’s
Word.

What Parent's Are Saying

“My four year old son was out of control, to the point where I had to take him out of pre-school
and stay home with him. But after just a few days of applying these parenting principles, he has
changed dramatically! Now he listens and obeys, and our home is peaceful – it’s almost
miraculous! I am putting him back in school and able to continue with my own schooling.
Thank you so much!” — F.L.

“My wife and I began putting these principles into practice right away and began to see excellent
results. Our children respond very well to our godly way of discipline. So much better for us.
Thank you!” — M.L.

“I attended one of Karen's seminars and it was far above everything I expected. It has equipped
me with information that I needed to properly launch my children into their destinies.” — R.T.

“I have a 2 year old daughter and I didn’t believe in spanking until I watched Parenting With a
Purpose and was made to understand the biblical purpose of spanking. Now I get it! Now my
daughter will benefit every day of her life – she’ll be able to fulfill God’s purpose for her life.
My home is now peaceful and calm with a loving and obedient daughter who will grow up
obeying God’s Word quickly.” — T.O.

“I learned SO much from Parenting With a Purpose about God’s view of parenting. I especially
learned about correction and why & how to do it. I can’t imagine waiting until my child is older
before taking this course.” — K.H.

“After applying these principles of correction then praying with my son afterwards, he gave me a
big hug and looked straight into my eyes and said, ‘I love you, Mom!’ I just melted. He is 3 and
has never expressed this kind of emotion before. I have taken many parenting classes and finally
one that works! I now have the skills to help my child obey me so he will obey God." — M.J.

"Our 6-year-old grandson got his first report card at school this Friday. The teacher had only
positive things to say about him. She said he is affectionate and helpful, both to her and his
fellow sutdents. He is obedient, attentive and a good worker. His big ‘turn around’ from being a
rather disobedient and whiny troublemaker began when you came to our city and taught us how
to raise children God’s way. My husband and I bought your Parenting With a Purpose CDs and
gave them to our daughter. Since then our grandson has never been the same. I am so happy.
Thank you so much for coming!" — L.K.

Prayers & Confessions for Our Children

The Bible says in Lamentations 2:19 that we should pour out our hearts like water before the
Lord and lift up our hands to him for the lives of our children. Praying daily for our children is
one of the most important things we can do for them; they are the future generations who will
take the gospel to the lost and fulfill the great commission. These prayers and confessions will
help you to pray on a daily basis for your children’s spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental
needs, protection, courage, and strength. These prayers and confessions will help you to pray and
confess the word of God over your children.

Father, I put upon my children the full armor of God and I thank You that they will be able to
stand against the plots of the evil one. I thank You that they are girded with Your truth and that
they are fitted with the sandals of peace. I thank You that they have upon them the breast plate of
righteousness and they stand as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I thank You for the
helmet of salvation and that they operate in Your wisdom and walk in the mind of Christ. I thank
You for the shield of faith that will protect them from any fiery dart the enemy would throw at
them. I thank You that as they hold up the sword of the Spirit when the enemy comes at them,
the spoken truth of Your word will defeat their adversary.
(Ephesians 6:10-18)

Father, I thank You in Jesus’ name that my children are protected from harm as Your word says
that Your angels are encamped about them.
(Psalm 34:7)

Lord, I thank You that You are my children’s light and their salvation; therefore they shall fear
no one; You Lord God Almighty are the defense of their life, they shall not dread.
(Psalm 27:1)

Scriptures to Speak Over Your Children

Home Resources Scriptures About My Kids
Your children are most precious. One of the best things you can do for your children is to speak
the Word of God over them. Below are scriptures from the Bible that you can confess, and short
meditations to speak out loud concerning your children. Speak the Word over your children
regularly and they will be blessed for it, and so will you!

(All Scriptures are taken from the New King James version, unless otherwise stated.)

Psalm 4:3
But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I
call to Him.

My children have been set apart to serve God. My children will walk with God, love God, serve
God, please God! My children will obey God and God's Word.

Psalm 145:4
One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.

One generation can praise the works of God to another and I declare that the presence of God
upon my life is upon my children's lives. A generational anointing is being imparted to my
children. What God has done for me, He is doing for my children as well.

Nehemiah 2:8
And the king granted them to me according to the good hand of my God upon me.

I confess that the good hand of God is upon my children. God's hand in the Bible represents
God's authority. God's authority is over my children, the authority of goodness, kindness,
meekness, gentleness, patience, peace and joy. My children live under the authority of the
kingdom of God and not under the authority of the kingdom of darkness.

Isaiah 44:3
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit
on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring;

I confess that God's blessings are upon me and my family. God's provision will find me and my
children like streams and rivers. God's Spirit is covering my children like the sky covers the
earth. Blessings from God are upon me and they are upon my children.

Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

I boldly confess that my children have a hunger for God and the things of God. My children love
God's Word. My children love to pray. My children have hearts turned toward the things of God.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of
evil, to give you a future and a hope.

I confess that God has a plan for my children that will bring only joy and hope. My children will
find, follow, and flow in the perfect will of God. Only God's best will touch my children. God's
divine plan will be accomplished for my children.

Psalm 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.

I confess that the steps of my children are ordered by the Lord. Each and every day, my children
will walk in the footsteps that Jesus Christ wants them to walk in.

Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

I confess that my children are growing in wisdom and favor with God and man. My children are
developing in social skills. My children are growing in daily judgment. My children are clothed
with favor from upon high.

Isaiah 10:27
It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his
yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

I confess that my children walk in and under the anointing of God. God's presence is always
upon my children. Angels of God are always near my children. The power of God is daily and
continually flowing in and through my children's lives.

Colossians 2:2
That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of
the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father
and of Christ,

I confess that my children are being knit by the Spirit of God to godly friends and relationships.
My children will marry the person God has for them. My children will go to school with the right
children, play with the right children, talk to the right children, and continue to build
relationships with only godly children.

John 10:4
And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they
know his voice.

My children know the voice of the Good Shepherd and the voice of a stranger they do not listen
to. My children hear and recognize the voice of God and they will be obedient to His every
whispering instruction.

Romans 5:17
For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus
Christ.)

My children are learning to reign and live in this life as kings. My children have a "king's
mentality". God's best is assigned to the lives of my children. My children experience the royal
life of God found in Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ,

Thanks be to God who always causes my children to walk and live in victory! My children will
have victory in every area of their lives. Victory over sin. Victory over the devil. Victory over
thoughts that come to their minds that are not of God. Victory in their finances, their bodies, and
their futures.

Psalm 35:27
...let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of
His servant."

God delights to prosper His servants. My children will serve God all the days of their lives and
honor His Word and be blessed all the days of their lives. No harm will touch my children. Only
blessings will come upon my children. Blessings are being sent to my children each and every
day by the love of God.
