ABSTRACT

Surgical management of ameloblastoma is divided into conservative and radical

approach. Radical approach is performed by resection of the mandible. Procedure of resection
is perfomed by removing the tumor mass surgically involving the surrounding health tissue until
the cutting border. Multicystic ameloblastoma have more agressive biologic behavior and more
desctructive morbidity rather than the unicystic type. Mix type of ameloblastoma have a high
recurrence rate due to invasion of lesion to surrounding soft tissue and cortical bone
perforation. In this report, we will review a case of 36-year-old male patient diagnosed with left
mix multicystic ameloblastoma in the mandible treated by segmental resection and plate
reconstruction.
