PRODUCT GUIDE & INFORMATION

Section 1: The Science of Mixing

Mixing is an essential part of any chemical process.

It is extremely important to optimize the mixing process.

Unoptimized processes creates numeral problems usually hidden in

the process and unknown by the user

HOW TO OPTIMIZE YOUR PROCESS?

Optimizing your process comes down to three factors:

Power

Speed

Impeller

3
POWER All mixing consumes power. Measured in kilowatts, it is the driving force of
all mixing.
Underpowered motors fail to function.
Overpowered motors are a waste of start-up and operating cost.

Speed is the number of revolutions an impeller makes.

SPEED
Measured in rpm (revolutions per minute).
Determines the Scale of Agitation and Tank Turnover rate.
Determines how well your product mixes and the time spend on mixing.
Often neglected, the size and type of impeller is equally important in
IMPELLER

process optimization.
Impellers give a power and flow number that regulates mixing pattern and
efficiency. Change in shape or size affects the process drastically.
Wrong impeller types and sizes waste power and in turn, drives up cost.
