On Tuesday, October 15th, 2019, I met the University of Houston Clear Lake (UHCL)
Pearland campus librarian, Ms. Peebler, who was generous to provide details on services the
library had to offer. She explained that library staff are available to assist students when
accessing books, magazines, and computers. Students have access to printing and scanning
services that are convenient for students managing documents and schoolwork. Textbooks are
available for reserve that can benefit students when searching for information related to their
classes. Ms. Peebler mentioned that the computers in the library offers online resources,
especially databases from UHCL that are useful for research using credible, academic, peer-
reviewed articles online. The UHCL Pearland library is small compared to the Alvin Community
College (ACC) Campus library, but it does offer space for students to spend their leisure time to
continue classwork or relax; including comfortable chairs, a table, and computer workstations.
I learned that the UHCL Pearland library is a place for students to spend time on
managing class assignments and documents, researching topics and articles, and relaxing from
their leisure time. The experience went as expected since I have visited the library before on

separate occasions. Ms. Peebler surprised me with the fact of having a TexShare card; it gives
ACC students access to all books at the UHCL Pearland Library. Visiting the UHCL Pearland
library can help me become successful in college because of the services and resources it offers
to aid in research with credible sources. I will visit the library again soon to use the resources
available to support topics and subjects in my classwork with evidence and knowledge. I
recommend the UHCL Pearland library because of the opportunities in gathering research and
using its services to manage documents with simplicity. It is a convenient place for all students
