The first three characters designate the type of tip. For example, a 286417 is a RAC 5 SwitchTip™. Example: 286417 has a fan width of approximately 8 in. (203 mm). Divide the last two digits by 1000 for the tip orifice size in inches. Example: 286417 has an orifice size of 0,017 in. (0.43 mm). Also, look at the RAC 5 chart below to determine the flow rate of a 017 tip. As indicated in the chart, tis tip has a flow rate of 0.31, or approximately 1/3 gpm (which is about 1.2 lpm).
