Engaging…/Practice:
Engaging the Reader: Students have been working on characters actions, motivation, and dialogue. I am going to act out a part of the
book that the students are familiar with. However, I will be acting it out out of sequence. Knowing my students they will inform me that
I did not act it out correctly. I will ask them to explain what I did wrong. They will tell me that I did not act it out in correct order. I will
discuss the literacy word of sequencing and the importance of order in a story.
