Passive voice.

The object is more important than the subject.

ACTIVE VOICE
SUBJECT VERB OBJECT
My mom loves my dad.
PASSIVE VOICE
SUBJECT VERB AGENT
My dad Is loved by my mom.

1. Identify subject, verb and object.


2. Write the object as subject.
3. Write the verb to be in the tense of the main verb.
4. Write the main verb in past participle.
5. Write the subject as agent. (if necessary)

ACTIVE VOICE
SUBJECT VERB OBJECT
My mom doesn’t love my dad.

PASSIVE VOICE
SUBJECT VERB AGENT
My dad Is not loved by my mom.

ACTIVE VOICE
SUBJECT VERB OBJECT
My mom loved my dad.

PASSIVE VOICE
SUBJECT VERB AGENT
My dad was loved by my mom.

ACTIVE VOICE

My mom Is cooking a cake.
PASSIVE VOICE

A cake Is being cooked by my mom.
Don’t forget that after a modal auxiliary verb we always write a verb in simple form.

ACTIVE VOICE

My mom can dance tango.

PASSIVE VOICE

Tango can be danced by my mom.
