Practical 1: 2D drawing using sketcher
Aim: using sketching tools or commands for making 2d drawing in CAD software.

Sketching toolbars: sketching steps which is using for making a 2d sketch which is useful for
any type of technical data sheets. Here, we are using solid-works software for creating 2d
drawings by applying several of commands for drafting purpose.

Drawing: 1. Create this part using the information and dimensions provide. Sketch a profile
to create this part.

Various types of commands have been used for a drawing part.

1. Plane selection.
2. Selection of sketch tool.
3. Select the origin
4. Select the sketch geometry: line command, circle command, polygon, perimeter
circle, center-point arc, tangent arc, ellipse, parabola, spine, rectangle, center line too.
5. Give the dimensions by using evaluate command.

Steps for creating 2d drawings or profiles:

a. Open a new part.
b. Select the plan among of the three planes: front plane, right plane and top
plane. Then we are selecting front plane on example purpose.
c. We are using origin for start of any kind of geometry because of when we
complete our geometry then it can be fixed at one point and we can used any
time for modelling purpose.
d. Now we can start our sketch with help of many sketching tools like as line
command, circle command and rectangle command too.
e. After completed geometry we are applying dimensions with the help of
evaluate command.
