Plot Summary
- Taking place in the Crusades, the protagonist, William is raised in a royal
family based in Hartslove. Early on, William’s father, Sir Thomas De
Granville, allowed a young girl by the name of Elenor to join the De Granville
family because her mom had died at childbirth and her father had been
killed. The agreement was, however, if she were to join the De Granville
family, she must marry William’s older brother, Gavin, whom Ellie had no
interest early on. William has always had an intense passion for riding
horses. However, his original horse, Sacramenta, did not satisfy William, so
he requested to go to keeper John and get himself a big new, glorious, war
horse where he can go to the Holy Land with and fight in the name of Jesus
Christ. While he is with Keeper John, a horse is suggested by the name of
Dargent, however, William’s heart has fallen to a different, smaller red horse
with a white star in the middle of his forehead. The horse is called
Hosanna.
