Normally the built in twistlock motor brake lock and keep the twistlocks in the open or closed

position. To rapidly ensure the function of the brake, proceed as follows:

1. Disconnect the power supply.

2. Lock the landing pins in up position


by prying them upwards by for example
an adjustable wrench until the bolt head
of an M6 Screw can be placed between M6
the blocking piece and the spacing sleeve.

3. Release the brake manually by stretching


a spring between the motor brake lever Open
and a welded stud on the beam.
Turn the twistlocks into open position.

4. Put back the brake release lever to


lock the brake.

5. Grab hold of one of the twistlock heads


with a large wrench and try to turn it with
a gentle torque. If the twistlocks remain
fixed, the brake function is ok. Go to step
6 below. If instead the twistlocks turn,
the brake must be adjusted or replaced.

6. Release the brake manually and turn the twistlocks into closed position.

7. Repeat the steps 4 and 5 above.

8. Repeat the procedure on the other side end beam twistlocks.
