Summary

Ideology of Pakistan
Ideas means pattern and logos means discourse of pattern. It is a science
of ideas and system which form basis of economic and political theory.
Geography is hardware and ideology is software of the state.

Evolution of Ideology in subcontinent


From about more than 1000 years, Muslims started coming to this part
of the world. In 18th century, Mohammad bin Qasim came a general in
charge of expedition of Muslim caliphate. In 11th century Mahmud
Ghaznavids came from North West Ghaznavids were followed by
Ghorids in 12th century. Then slave dynasty came. It rule over India.
Slave dynasty was followed by Khiljis, then Tughlaq came then Syed
and Lodhis came and finally Mughals came who rule from 16 to 19 th
century. Saints, Missionaries spread love among non Muslims of
subcontinent.

Impacts
 Conversion of thousands of people into Islam.
 Unification of Islam.
M.N.Roy historian in India wrote a book Historical role of Islam.
M.N.Roy said Muslims had unified India. There was an impact on
culture and civilization.
Second world war
When Muslims faith was restored, Second World War broke out which
engulfed entire globe. British colonial powers were not to maintain
colonialism in India. They said we will be going after war. On this
occasion Muslim ideology came into action at the end of Second World
War. When possibility of independence becomes visible, Muslim
identity was transform into ideology of Pakistan.

Three stages of Ideology of Pakistan


 Evolution of Islamic ideology.
 Narrative of independent state.
 Post independence state.
The narrative of Indian Muslims as a result of which they consider
themselves different, from Hindus they demand for separate state
where they can practice their culture and norms.

Contribution of various leaders.


 Sir Syed Ahmad khan used nation for the first time.
 Allama Iqbal explains ideology philosophically.
 Quaid-e-Azam translated ideology into modern terminology.
