1. ANITA BHATIA: appointed as deputy executive director of united nation
entity for gender equality and women empowerment of women (united
nations women) for resource management, sustainability and partnership.

Appointed by united nations secretary general: Antonio Guterres

He also appointed shailesh tinaikar (Lt.General,indian army officer) as the
new force commanderof the UN mission of South Sudan.

UN entity for gender equality and women empowerment(UN-Women) was

estb July 2010 by the united nations general assembly(UNGA),
headquarted in NYC,USA and became operational in jan,2011. It works
gloabally to make the vision of the UN sustainable development
goals(SDGs) a reality for women and girls and also stand behind equal
participation of women in all aspects of life. Earlier Laxmi Puri, veteran
indian diplomat and a gender equality champion has also served as
Assisstant Secretary General of the UN and deputy executive director of
UN women.
