With reference to the advertisement in the local newspaper Times Daily, dated 15th May, 2014, I am
writing this letter to apply my candidacy for the post of a cook at your hospital. I am eager to join St.
Mungos because it seems like a challenging yet rewarding opportunity.

I have been working in the culinary industry for the past 5 years and for the past 4 years, I have
worked as a short-order cook at Flames Café. I believe my culinary experiences in this industry
would enable me to make a plethora of nutritious and delectable foods. I have a track record of
preparing a diverse range of food, both hygienically and quickly.

I have personally always maintained a strict adherence to safety and hygiene guidelines. My key
skills include strong customer service, making quick meals and a variety of refreshing and highly
nutritious salads, operating a range of kitchen equipment and most importantly maintaining a clean
work environment.

I am confident that my experience and skills will make me a valuable member of your hospital. I have
