chance to meet up. Until one day the Respondent texted me that he
is waiting outside my school but I’m not able to see him during that
time because I am too busy attending and complying my
assignments. Afterwards, when I got home, I was surprised that he
was already there.

A. After we got married, we lived in

25. Q. How was your marital life during the time that you were living
together?

A. I may describe that our relationship is not the ideal one. It’s
something that can be pronounced as “against all odds. I even had
misunderstandings with my family in both sides but I always choose
to be with him. He always sees to it that he knows everyone I am
with, every activity I am in to and even things I am doing every
hour. He always monitors my whereabouts and who am I with.

He always displayed violent reaction during our heated arguments

and I have nothing to do but cried. I always thought that
Respondent will change someday and so, I exerted earnest effort to
be a perfect wife for him. However, those were never enough for the
Respondent, he will just physically beat me until he was satisfied
and will just say sorry afterwards and we will make love.

husband. He kept on hitting me while I was still pregnant with my
child. I thought of leaving him, however, I forgo that plan because I
don’t want my child to be fatherless and I still love him during that
time. I don’t want to have a broken family so I told myself to endure
everything because maybe one day, he will change.

27. Q. What was your marital situation when your first child arrived

A. After giving birth to our child, I suffered from mild bleeding

because no one tried to help me in doing house chores while taking
our child. I thought that Respondent would change for the better
because of our newborn daughter but his attitude and characters

abused as a wife and a mother by his actuations.

convince him to tell the truth to my parents that he was not able to
graduate that school year but instead he uttered profane words and
slapped me while I was breastfeeding and he almost hit the head of
our daughter. I immediately run out of their house and sought the
assistance of the nanny of my sister in law living in the other house
to carry my daughter while I was packing my things.

However, Respondent went out from the kitchen with a knife and
threatened me that I will die first before I could live him. I was so
afraid during that incident. Luckily, Respondent’s ame and pushed
him away and told me to run out of the place.

A- I finally decided to file a case against the Respondent for Violation of

Republic Act 9262 to seek justice to my tragic experiences and
subsequently a warrant of arrest has been issued against him
however, Respondent absconded and later posted his bail and was
did not even bother to attend his arraignment prompting the court
to cancel his bail. Our nce we parted our ways.

I have experienced much and have suffered a lot from the

respondent. Since our marriage, repeated physical and verbal
violence were committed by the respondent against me. I have
already given much opportunities and chances to the respondent
but there were no positive results that could benefit the welfare and
interest of my family and even our child.
