Medications that interact with the Acetylcholine receptors:

1. Varenicline:
Competitive partial agonist of the nicotine receptor used in the cessation
of smoking. Most smoking cessation therapies mimick or replace the effect of
nicotine receptor stimulation by the inhibition of dopamine reuptake; Varenicline
functions by providing nicotine effects to avoid withdrawal symptoms and
competing with the effect of nicotine in the event of a patient relapse.

2. Vecuronium:
Competitive antagonist of acetylcholine that binds at the postjunctional
membrane to the nicotinic cholinergic receptors. Intravenous administration is
used for inducing muscle paralysis to facilitate endotracheal intubation as well as
invasive procedures. Similar in structure to other neuromuscular agents but has
minimal circulatory effects; as opposed to other drugs in this category that have
vagolytic or histaminic effects.
