BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 60|__ Series of 2019 WHEREAS, on 11 December 2017, the Board issued Memorandum Circular No. 2017- 33 (Re: CONSOLIDATION OF CPCs OF MULTIPLE TAXI SERVICE FRANCHISE HOLDERS IN CONSONANCE WITH THE POLICY ON INDUSTRY CONSOLIDATION PURSUANT TO DEPARTMENT ORDER No. 2017-011 (Re: OMNIBUS GUIDELINES ON THE PLANNING AND IDENTIFICATION OF PUBLIC ROAD TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AND FRANCHISE ISSUANCE) wherein the Board issued the rules and regulations to implement the policy on industry consolidation and facilitate the transition of existing operators in anticipation of the lifting of the moratorium. WHEREAS, considering that Taxi Service has no fixed route, consolidation of multiple CPCs shall be initially implemented to the said holders of multiple CPCs to operate Taxi Service. | WHEREAS, the Information Systems and Management Division (ISMD) had already conducted an inventory of all existing CPCs and its corresponding number of authorized units of Air-conditioned Taxi Service nationwide pursuant to the said MC. NOW THEREFORE, RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED, that the Legal Division and the Technical Division of the Central Office, the Regional Franchising and Regulatory Offices (RFROs) are hereby directed to ISSUE Notices of Hearing for consolidation and ASSIGN the corresponding case numbers of the consolidated CPCs pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2017-033.
