Course Description
This accelerated course condenses 1 year of study into a single semester. Students
explore points, segments, triangles, polygons, circles, solid figures, and their
associated relationships and characteristics. They make comparisons between
figures concerning surface areas, volumes, congruency, similarity, transformations,
and coordinate Geometry. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking skills as
they relate to logical reasoning and argument. Technological tools and
manipulatives help in discovering and understanding course content.
