NSTP program implementation will be one of the most memorable experiences in my

undergraduate studies, from planning, conceptualizing and executing projects that may help
the community to improve and prosper.

Throughout the implementation, I have realized that barangay Maricaban represents each
barangay in the Philippines in such a way that the problems they have may also be the
problems that another barangay has and to battle and solve these problems, we as a student of
DLSU-Manila proposed a series of seminars and workshops that will ease the current problem
of the community. Furthermore, this also made me realized that even small steps of action
create a lot of difference not just on the problem itself but to the people and on the people
involved.

On the other hand, I learned a lot through experience and engagement in the community in
such a way that it changes my perspective in most of the things one of which is poverty. It tells
me that you can not use the argument that they should just work hard enough so that they can
feed their families in one day, what they need is a stable job or a stable livelihood business that
will cater to their needs as a breadwinner of the family. Furthermore, this situation pushes me
to think of social reforms that can give benefits to all workers.

All in all, NSTP liberates ideas within ourselves that to help other people we should not just give
them something which is short term but we should give them something sustainable in nature
so that even though we leave the community they can continue and use our benchmarked
activities.
