Based _on the latest laboratory results of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic
Resources (BFAR) and Local Government Units (LGUs), shelifishes collected at San Pedro
Bay in Western Samar; Lianga Bay in Surigao del Sur; Coastal waters of Dauis and
‘Tagbilaran City in Bohol; and Balite Bay, Mati City in Davao Oriental are still positive
for paralytic shellfish poison that is beyond the regulatory limit. Moreover, Puerto
Princesa Bay in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan; Maqueda, Irong-irong,
and Cambatutay Bays in Western Samar are now positive for the red tide toxin.
