1. Physics has always been my favourite subject.

The way it dealt with issues

that would concern us on an everyday basis never failed to amaze me. Right
from the light we turn on every morning to the mobile phone we are always
busy with. With physics, we have learnt to manipulate nature to cater to our
needs. Given, ECE as a major deals with Physics to a great extent made me
choose it. The fact that there is always something new to learn in this
discipline always excites me.

2.
 My understanding of this discipline has always been academic. I still
am not aware about the work environment, conduct and even how I
should be presenting myself.
 I’d like to learn how to formally documents like proposals, work plans,
reports etc.
 Also, I have always shied away from writing formal mails, letters etc.
So, I would like to learn right way to do the same so that I am
confident enough in the future.

3. a) In my opinion, the author in Chapter One greatly emphasizes on the fact

that technical writing and literature are different. This skill is not innate and
can be learned over time.
b) I had previously learnt that it is always important to provide a back story to
your writing piece, but this chapter repeatedly asks its readers to be more
specific and to the point and not beat around the bush.

4. My name is Jahnavi Thota, but it is pronounced as Jan-vi. I love dancing and

kick boxing. I like reading but I am not a great fan of writing. My favorite
genres are romance and sci-fi.
