Please be prepared to present the following appendices when housing is offered:

 a tax certificate and a detailed specification of pre-completed tax return

 a salary certificate or other monthly income certificate of taxable income
 a certificate of student status
 a passport and a residence permit or a registration certificate (required from applicants
outside of Finland and Nordic countries)
 A certificate of the market value of assets and a statement of the total debts of the
applicant’ s household. The household´s combined debt can be deducted from the assets. Assets
may include e.g. real estate owned by the applicant. A reliable estimate on the selling value
(fair value) of such assets is required. An estimate of the property´s current sales value may be
requested from the house manager, an estate agent or a building inspector. The value of listed
shares and funds is determined according to their quotation at the moment of application.

Other appendices stating the need for housing:

 a certificate of pregnancy
 a copy of a fixed-term tenancy agreement or a copy of a notice on tenancy agreement given by
the owner
 a contract of employment with a salary certificate/ salary details (if you are moving to Helsinki
metropolitan area due to work)
