ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP
Part 1: After checking the Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal Verbs, write 1 sentence using
each one of the modal verbs regarding your duties and rights as UNAD student:
can – could – may - must - should - ought to – have to – need to- had better -
would.
 I can access the virtual library of the university

 In the forum I may write a message to my classmates

 The tasks must be presented virtually always according to the criteria of

 I should attend the university in person for the laboratories of the subjects

Part 3: Write a text about how you imagine yourself in ten years. Use at least two
pictures related to your text. You should write four paragraphs:
My life in 10 years (year 2029)
In 10 years I would be a somewhat older person because I would be 37 years old,

living in my own home in Bogota, the capital of Colombia along with my family, we
would also have a beautiful farm to spend time outside the noise of the city having
more contact with nature, promoting at all times good behaviors as human.
As for my professional life I would be a great professional food engineer, I will

have to have attended several conferences worldwide to be aware of new trends
and with a stable job in a large company as an advisor because I would have my
own company making innovations for the food industry promoting economic
development and providing support to those most in need, leading social projects.
In my love life I would have married and had 1 son and two cats, my family would
be very happy and we would have a lot of love for ourselves being very close, I
look after my family, we made visits to my other relatives to promote union and
love between us and we would go on long trips to know the wonders of the world
and enjoy new cultures.
As for my sporting life, I could have done a lot of exercise during those 10 years,
so I would have an asana life and with good habits, I could get out jogging or
cycling every weekend in the company of my son and my husband preventing
diseases associated with sedentary lifestyle.
Part 4: Students must comment about two partners’ contributions and make

Part 3: Write a text about how you imagine yourself in ten years. Use at least
two pictures related to your text. You should write four paragraphs:
10 YEARS IN THE FUTURE.

My life 10 years into the future would be a person who was 49 years old, living
with my wife and either with my son or daughter in the apartment that should
already be fully finished which is located in the citadel prosperity in the
municipality of Madrid Cundinamarca which is surrounded by a lot of nature and
tranquility to live as a family.
In my professional life it would be to be an integral engineer with knowledge
regarding the innovation of new confectionery products in which I would have to
my own company in which I would offer functional products which would be aimed
especially at the nutrition of children. It would also offer a chocolate line which
would offer low-calorie products and with an added value with vitamins and fibers
at a low cost.
As for my love life, I would have gone to live with my girlfriend with our children,
whom I would educate by instilling values and respect for life, teaching them to
love the family by promoting love, compression within the family nucleus. With
regard to my brothers, I would make the effort that each day we would be more
united and we could count on each other and be able to plan family trips.
In ten years I will be doing a lot of exercise since I will travel by bicycle from the
municipality of Madrid to Bogota to work and on weekends we will go out with my
wife and children to ride a bike on the road to villeta to do sports and enjoy
nature, then we would swim in the pool of the citadel.

In ten I will be 39 years old, I will be a mature person I will have a home for my
family which I see is made up of two beautiful children and my wife full of
principles and values and above all love.
I also see myself as a good professional who will be contributing my knowledge to

the company. I see myself in a way in which I can be happy; a way in quality my
sentimental life sea as satisfactory as my working life. I see myself as a great food
engineer; but more than that he is an engineer who can be useful for himself as
for society.Beyond a simple employee, someone important to inspire and be
admired by everyone. I hope that in 10 years I will see myself as a person with
friends, and not with stakeholders that depend on me. I hope to become a great
father an example for the world and for my children.
Also have good health for both me and my family which will be obtained with good
food, exercise and reading. Weekends will be days to share with my family and
friends with a good football and swimming game.
