Extra Grammar Exercises

For the Teacher

The Extra Grammar Exercises are intended to provide students with more practice on the
grammar lessons in the Student’s Book. The exercises will help ensure mastery of the
grammar point.

The Extra Grammar Exercises can be accessed and used in different ways:

• Within the ActiveTeach, click on the digital Student’s Book page to launch an
interactive, digital grammar exercise. You can demonstrate the first item for the class.
Then ask individuals or the whole class to call out answers as you complete the
remaining items. Alternatively, call individuals to the front of the class and have them
complete the remaining items.
• Access printable versions of the Extra Grammar Exercises through the Teacher
Resources menu on the ActiveTeach. Print and distribute the worksheets to the class.
Have students complete the exercises individually or in groups during class time, or
individually for homework.

Within the Teacher’s Edition and Lesson Planner, the icon along with the note “Extra
Grammar Exercises” indicates the suggested point of use for the exercises.
