For this assignment I was asked to write about two organizations that have

partnered together to for a specific cause to benefit our community. I have decided to talk

about my home church Highpoint Church and Life Choices of Memphis.

Highpoint Church is a special place to me. It is a church located here in Memphis,

Tennessee. This church is special to me because it forever changed my life in 2016 and

continues to do so to this day. I found Jesus as my personal Lord and savior there in May

2016 and haven’t looked back since. The vision of Highpoint Church is to be a people,

transformed by God's love, who passionately desire to glorify God and see everyone meet

with Jesus, hear from Jesus, and respond to Jesus. The mission of Highpoint Church is to

love God, love people, and make disciples. Highpoint Church is a perfect place for

imperfect people. It’s a place that offers compassion without compromise, where

the relentless teaching of God’s Word makes sense for people in real

life. Highpoint Church was founded in September 2002. It has two campuses; the

main campus is in East Memphis and another campus in Collierville. Highpoint

Church provides ministries year-round for children, youth, twenty somethings,

women, men, marriage, financial issues, and a big celebrate recovery program. It

has so many different ministries for everyone in the community. It doesn’t matter

if you go to Highpoint or not, you are welcomed there at all of these ministries.

This connects so many people, all around the Memphis community.

Another organization in the Memphis community is Life Choices Memphis.

Life Choices Memphis is an organization that love the women in the Memphis

area. Life Choices Memphis was founded in 1987. Their staff and medical

professionals are there to offer safe and confidential services, free of charge. They

offer medical diagnosis, confirmation of pregnancy, STI diagnosis, STI treatment,

post-abortion care, counsel regarding options, info on the morning after pill,

education on abortion, education on sexual health, pregnancy counseling, help for

practical needs, and adoption plans. You will never get charged at Life Choice s

Memphis; no strings attached. They are available to do this because of generous

people and organizations that give, because they believe in helping women. This

organization helps so many women in the area Memphis who find themselves in an

unplanned or unexpected pregnancy.

Highpoint Church and Life Choices Memphis have a partnership and have

had one for several years. Highpoint Church helps give to Life Choices Memphis

regularly and does a big fundraiser once a year to help them. What makes this

partnership unique is how Highpoint Church raises money unselfishly for Life

Choices Memphis. Another way its unique is some of Highpoint’s members are on

staff at Life Choices Memphis. This partnership benefits both parties involved

because they are in constant contact with one another, referring people to help

with services that they can offer that the other can’t. This partnership benefits the

local Memphis community several ways. One being, it helps people in some of

their lowest moments with options and resources to get through this tough season.

Whether that be in life or in unplanned pregnancy. They both love the Memphis

community and are here to serve the people in any way that they can, free of

charge.
