DETERMINATION OF OBJECTIVES
– ET provides different methods and techniques for writing the instructional objectives.
– ET helps in fixing up of right objectives in the light of new advancement in science and technology.
DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING LEARNING MATERIALS
• Teaching learning materials will be able to modify behavior of a person, in order to make him a fit
person for the society. Here ET tries to discuss the essential techniques of developing software and
instructional material, like, programmed learning material, mass media material, PSI planning for
teaching and learning and preparation of lessons etc.
IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS
• ET make teaching and learning more purposive. ie , ET tries to discuss the concepts of teaching and
learning , analysis of teaching and learning process, variables of teaching, phases of teaching ,levels

team teaching, modification of teacher behavior etc.

• ET concerned with the means and ways for the selection of suitable learning experiences or contents,

effective utilization.
UTILIZATION OF SUBSYSTEM OF EDUCATION
• ET includes the study of different subsystems, their operations and process in terms of input and
output, the needed development in the working of subsystems in view of the economy, output and
functionality of the system in an effective way by specifying the respective role of the man , machine
and media in relation to the process of teaching and learning.
PROPER USE OF HARDWARES AND SOFTWARES
• ET tries to describe these resources in terms of their specific functions and applicability in a particular
teaching learning situation, their selection, proper handling and maintenance, their preparation and
development, the ways and means of their optimum use in formal education on the individual and
collective basis.
TO PROVIDE ESSENTIAL FEEDBACK AND CONTROL THROUGH EVALUATION
• Control over the process of teaching-learning by planning and devising suitable tools and devices for
the continuous evaluation of the process of teaching- learning. Such evaluation provides an
appropriate feedback for the learners as well as teachers. For this purpose ET discusses the ways
and means of suitable evaluation techniques and their planning, development, selection and
appropriate use in relation to the objectives of learning and teaching system (CCE, grading system)
