XO – Extensible Objects Framework (FS-BP)

The XO framework is a persistence framework for implementing and enhancing business objects.

The connection to the XO framework is generated automatically by the Builder for every POL type.

When instances are executed, the runtime data for an instance is persisted using the framework.

Service Implementation Workbench (BC-ESI-SIW)

You can use the Service Implementation Workbench (SIW) to create, implement, and change
services semiautomatically. SIW uses coding templates to generate service implementations. The
coding templates contain software elements that are used in all service implementations and that
can, therefore, be used by different implementation projects (SIW projects).

The Builders mainly create the SIW projects automatically. Some projects (and the corresponding
artifacts) have to be created manually by the POL designer using the Generation Wizard.

The execution of the SIW projects is usually triggered automatically by the Builders. For manually
created projects, the designer has to manually trigger execution directly in SIW.

In the Generation Wizard, each generation step contains a link to the corresponding SIW projects.

Enterprise Services Repository and ES Builder (BC-XI-IBD)

The Enterprise Services Repository (ESR) is a central repository, in which SOA elements such as
services and data types are defined and managed. Using the Enterprise Services Builder (ES Builder),
you access content of the ES Repository.

The Builders use the ES Repository as the central repository and modeling environment for the
structures of POL objects and for service definitions. For the modeling of a POL type, the designer
has to define the required data in the ESR.

In the Modeling Wizard, you can find a link to the ES Repository in all the relevant steps.
