What is Essay?

 Essay is generally a piece of writing that gives a personal information about some tips. It is
how you express what’s inside your mind and your feelings to the topic that you have.

The term “essay” can refer to just about any short piece of nonfiction. An editorial, feature
story, critical study, even an excerpt from a book. However, literary definitions of a genre
are usually a bit fussier.

Historical background of Essay.

 In United States, Canada and even France, essay is become the major part of their
education. The word “essay”derive from the French word essayer which, in turn, is culled
from exagium or, more accurately, exagere -- a latin word which means “to weight” or “to
shift”. Michel de Montaigne a French author which is the father of the essay, who arguably
introduce the style of using a very personal voice in writing.

And in United States and Canada essay is used by secondary students that are taught
structured essay formats to improve their writing skills.

What is the types of Essay?

 Essay has a different types that can be use by the writers. Based on

Descriptive Essay - which is use in describing something to make the readers feel, smell,
see,taste, or hear what is described.
