No, there are no minimum percentage criteria to apply. Make sure that you have Essential Educational
requirement (EER) and other essential requirement (OER) as per Advt.

टयर-1 पर ा के लए न न ल खत शहर ह। उ मीदवार को सलाह द जाती है क ट यर-I के लए क ह तीन

भ न पर ा शहर क वर यता, शहर सू ची मे से चु न । एक बार द गयी वर यता को अं तम माना जाएगा तथा उसे
बदला नह ं जा सकता । वर यता म मे प रवतन के लए अनु रोध पर कसी भी प रि थ त / कारण म वचार नह ं
कया जाएगा । हालां क से टे म, संगठना मक आव यकता अनु सार पर ा शहर को हटाने / जोड़ने तथा उ मीदवार
को कोई भी पर ा शहर आवं टत करने का अ धकार रखता है । ट यर-II ( े ड / कौशल / शार रक समथता एंवम
मता टे ट) पर ा के लए पर ा शहर चु नने क आव यकता नह ं है । से टे म इसके लए पर ा शहर या मक

The names of cities for Tier-1 examination are given below. Candidates are advised to choose any three
different cities from the list in order of preference for Tier-I examination. The preference once given by the
candidate will be treated as final and irreversible. No request for change of examination city/centre/shift will
be entertained. However CEPTAM, reserves the right to add/delete any examination city and allot the
candidates to any examination city other than chosen by candidate depending upon the operational
constraints. Choice for Examination City for Tier-II (Trade / Skill / Physical fitness & capability test,
wherever applicable) is not required. Cities for Tier-II (Trade / Skill / Physical fitness & capability test,
wherever applicable) will be decided by CEPTAM based on the operational requirement.

जो उ मीदवार अ य पछड़ा वग-नॉन मी लेयर (क सरकार क सू ची म) के अंतगत आते है , वो उ मीदवार

आर ण पाने के लए यो य ह। जो उ मीदवार अ य पछड़ा वग - मी लेयर के अंतगत आते है , वो उ मीदवार
आर ण / रयायत का लाभ पाने के लए यो य नह ं ह।
Candidates who belong to the OBC-Non Creamy Layer (Under Central Govt. List) are eligible to seek
reservation/relaxation benefits. Candidates who belong to the OBC-Creamy Layer are not eligible to seek
reservation/relaxation benefits.

 (I) ESM अथात भू तपू व सै नक । ESM वह यि त होता है िजसने भारत संघ क नय मत सश सेना,नौसेना और
वायु सेना म कसी भी पद पर चाहे यो क या गैर यो क के प म सेवा क है ।
(a) जो पशन अिजत करने के प चात ऐसी सेवा से चाहे वानु रोध पर या नयोजक वारा काय मु त कए जाने पर,
सेवा नवृ त, अवमु त या सेवोनुमु त हो गया / गयी है या
(b) िजसे सै नक सेवा के कारण च क सा आधार पर अथवा उसके नयं ण से बाहर क प रि थ तय के कारण ऐसी
सै नक सेवा से कायमु त कया गया हो और िजसे च क सा अथवा अ य नःश तता पशन द गयी हो या
(c) िजसे सं थापना म कटौती हो जाने के प रणाम व प ऐसी सेवा से मु त कया गया हो
या
(II) िजसे सेवा क व श ठ अव ध पू ण करने के प चात उसके वयं के अनुरोध के सवाय ऐसी सेवा से सेवामु त कया
गया है अथवा कदाचार या अकु शलता के कारण सेवा से बखा त अथवा सेवामु त कया गया हो और िजसे कोई

(VI) ऐसे भू तपू व रं ग ट, िज हे च क सा आधार पर अश त होने के कारण थक या कायमु त कया गया है और िज ह
च क सा नःश त पशन द गयी है ।

(I) ESM stands for Ex-Service Man. ESM is a person who served in any rank whether as combatant or non-
combatant in a regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Union
(a) who either has been retired or relieved or discharged from such service whether at his own request or
being relieved by the employer after earning his or her pension; or
(b) who has been relieved from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or
circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension; or
(c) who has been released from such service as a result of reduction in establishment;
OR
(II) who has been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, otherwise
than at his own request or by way of dismissal, or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency
and has been given a gratuity and includes personnel of the Territorial Army namely , pension holders
for continuous embodied service or broken spells of qualifying service;
OR
(III) Personnel of Army Postal Service who are part of Regular Army and retired from the Army Postal
Service without reversion to their parent service with pension or are released from the Army Postal
Service on medical grounds attributable to or aggravated by military service or circumstances beyond
their control and awarded medical or other disability pension;
OR
(IV) Personnel who were on deputation in Army Postal Service for more than six months prior to 14th April
1987;
OR
(V) Gallantry award winners of the Armed Forces including personnel of Territorial Army;
OR
(VI) Ex-recruits boarded out or relieved on medical ground and granted medical disability pension.

11. आ थक प से कमजोर (EWS) वग या है?
What is EWS (ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION)?

वह उ मीदवार जो अनु सू चत जा त/अनु सू चत जन जा त/वग पछड़ा अ य के लए आर ण क योजना म शा मल

नह ं ह और िजनक पा रवा रक सकल आय पये 8 लाख (आठ लाख पये) से कम है, ईडब यू एस के आर ण के लाभ
के लए ईडब यू एस के प म पहचाने जाएँगे । आय म आवेदन के वष से पछले व तीय वष केआय के सभी ोत
अथात वेतन, कृ ष, यवसाय, पेशे आ द से आय भी शा मल होगी। ऐसे उ मीदवार िजनके प रवार के पास
न न ल खत म से कोई भी संपि त है को ईड यू एस के प म पहचाने जाने से रोक दया जाएगा, भले ह उनके
प रवार क आय कतनी भी हो ।
(i) 5 एकड़ अथवा इससे अ धक कृ ष भू म
(ii)1000 वग फुट अथवा इससे अ धक का आवासीय लैट
(iii) अ धसू चत नगरपा लकाओं म 100 वग गज अथवा उससे अ धक का आवासीय भू खंड
(iv)अ धसू चत नगरपा लकाओं के अलावा अ य े म 200 वग गज और उससे अ धक के आवासीय भू खंड।

व भ न थान या अलग-अलग शहर म / थान म प रवार वारा वारा रखी गई संपि त को ईडब यू एस ि थ त
नधा रत करने के लए भू म या संपि त धारण पर ण को लागू करते समय सि म लत प मे वचार कया जाएगा।

इस उ े य के लए प रवार क या या के अंतगत वह उ मीदवार जो आर ण का लाभ लेना चाहता है, अपने माता –

पता, अपने 18 वष से कम आयु के भाई – बहन, अपना जीवन साथी एवं अपने 18 वष से कम आयु के ब च को
शा मल करे गा। ईड यू एस के तहत आर ण का लाभ स म ा धकार वारा जार एक आय और संपि त माण प
को तु त करने पर लया जा सकता है ।

उ मीदवार के ईडब यू एस दावे के प म नधा रत ा प म केवल न न ल खत म से कसी एक अ धकार वारा

जार आय और संपि त माण प वीकार होगा ।

DoPT OM no. 36039/1/2019-Estt.(Res.) दनांक 31st Jan 2019 के अनु सार, ईडब यू एस वग के लाभा थय को
संबि धत ा धकरण वारा जार कया गया आय और संपि त का वैध माण प (जो क व ापन क नणायक
त थ या से पहले) तु त करना होगा ।
Candidates who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs/STs/OBCs and whose family has
gross annual income below Rs. 8 Lakhs (Rupees eight lakhs) are to be identified as EWSs for benefit of
reservation. The income shall also include income from all sources i.e. salary, agriculture, business,
profession etc. for the financial year prior to the year of application.

Also candidates whose family owns or possesses any of the following assets shall be excluded from being
identified as EWS, irrespective of family income:
i) 5 acres of agricultural land and above;
ii) Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above;
iii) Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities;
iv) Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities.

The property held by a ‘Family’ in different locations or different places/cities would be clubbed while
applying the land or property holding test to determine EWS status.

 The term ‘Family’ for this purpose will include the person who seeks benefit of reservation, his/her parents
and siblings below the age of 18 years as also his/her spouse and children below the age of 18 years.

The benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate
issued by a Competent Authority. The Income and Asset Certificate issued by any one of the following
authorities in the prescribed format shall only be accepted as candidate‘s claim as belonging to EWS:
I) District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate / Collector / Deputy Commissioner / Additional Deputy
Commissioner /1st Class Stipendary Magistrate / Sub-Divisional Magistrate / Taluka Magistrate / Executive
Magistrate / Extra Assistant Commissioner
II) Chief Presidency Magistrate / Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate / Presidency Magistrate
III) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar and
IV) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.

As per DoPT OM no. 36039/1/2019-Estt.(Res.) dated 31st Jan 2019, the benefit of reservation under EWS
can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate (as on or before crucial date of eligibility
of this Advt.) issued by a Competent Authority.

13. द यांगजन या है ?
What is Person with disability (PWD)?

उ मीदवार, िजनक द यांगता 40% या इससे अ धक हो वो द यांग वग म आर ण/ रयायत पाने के लए अ धकृ त

ह । भारत सरकार के नयम और आदे श के अनुसार भत के उ े य से द यांगता के वग न न ल खत है :
Candidates having Disabilities of more than or equal to 40% are eligible for reservation/relaxation for PWD.
Categories of disabilities for the purpose of recruitment as per Govt. of India orders and rules are given
below:
CAT A:
(a) blindness and low vision;
CAT B:
(b) deaf and hard of hearing;
CAT C:
(c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victim and muscular
dystrophy
CAT D:
(d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness;
(e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clause (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness.

14. या द यांगजन को पर ा के लए अ त र त समय मलता है ?

Does PWD candidate get any extra time for examination?

ि ट बा धत, आथ पे डक प से वकलांग उ मीदवार(दोन हाथ से भा वत), आथ पे डक प से वकलांग

उ मीदवार (सेरे ल पा सी),आथ पे डक प से वकलांग उ मीदवार िज ह Locomotor Disability है िजसके
कारण उ मीदवार क मु ख लेखन मता धीमी/ भा वत होती है (ऐसे दोष का च क सीय माणप उ मीदवार
वारा जमा कराया जाएगा),उ ह 20 मनट त घ टे का तपूरक समय दया जाएगा। जो उ मीदवार तपू रक
समय के लए यो य ह , वो GOI OM F. NO. 16-110/2003-DD.III dated 26th February 2013 के अनु सार Scribe का
लाभ ले सकते ह । जो उ मीदवार Scribe का लाभ ले रह ह उ ह Scribe क यव था वयं करनी होगी ।

 The visually impaired, orthopedically handicapped (afflicted by cerebral palsy), orthopedically handicapped
(both arm affected), orthopedically handicapped candidates who has a locomotor disability wherein the
dominant writing extremity is affected to the extent of slowing down the performance of the candidate (such
deficiency to be indicated in the certificate, issued by competent authority, submitted by the candidate) will
be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour in the examination. Candidates who are availing
compensatory time are eligible for scribe as per GOI OM F. NO. 16-110/2003-DD.III dated 26th February
2013. Candidates who are using scribe, they have to arrange scribe on their own.

Scribe should not be a candidate for the examination (criteria like educational qualification, marks scored,
age or other such restrictions for the scribe will not be fixed by recruiting bodies). A person acting as a scribe
for one candidate cannot be a scribe for another candidate. For scribe, qualification is not a bar (refer
guideline of GOI, ministry of social justice and empowerment F No. 16-110/203-DD.III dated 26th Feb
2013. Scribe must have his / her valid proof of identity along with scribe undertaking form (available on our
website) during examination.

User ID will be your registered Email ID and password will be system generated and it will be sent to the

After uploading of the photograph, signature, 10th class certificate and EER Document, page shows the
checklist of the uploaded images. In case the applicant is not satisfied with the uploaded images, he may
reload photograph, signature, 10th class certificate and EER Document the process can be repeated till
satisfaction. The Candidates may please note that if the quality of Photograph, signature, 10thclass certificate
and EER Document is blurred / Irrelevant, the application is liable to be rejected.

Fee of Rs.100 is to be paid online through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card. All applicable service
charges shall be borne by candidates only. The cash / cheque / draft / money order or any other mode will
not be accepted in any condition. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

How do I re-confirm that my application is received in the CEPTAM, DRDO Office?

सफलतापू वक आवेदन प जमा करने के लए आवेदन के सभी भाग को सह प से भरना आव यक है । आवेदन के

संपू ण होने के बाद स टम के वारा Unique Number generate होगा जो आवेदन सं या होगा । सफलतापू वक
आवेदन के जमा हो जाने का मैसेज भी न पर दखेगा। आपके ईमेल आईडी पर एक संदेश भेजा जाएगा िजसम
आपक आवेदन सं या एवं आवेदन को डाऊनलोड करने का लंक होगा । आप लॉ गन करने के बाद “SAVED
APPLICATION” मै यू म जाकर अपने आवेदन क ि थ त दे ख सकते ह।
The successful submission of the online application requires the completion of all parts of the application
correctly. After completing the application the system generates a unique number which is known as the
Application Number. The message of successful application submission will also display on screen. An
email message containing the application number will be sent to your registered e-mail id. You can check the
status of your application under “SAVED APPLICATION” menu after login.

नह ं हु ई है और आप बीच म कसी भी कारण से ड कने ट हो गए तो आप लॉग इन करके आवेदन के “SAVED
APPLICATION” मेनू पर ि लक कर। अगर आं शक प से भरा हु आ आपका आवेदन यहाँ पर सु र त है तो आप
यहाँ से अपने भरे हु ए आवेदन को जार रख सकते ह । अगर यह आं शक प से सु र त नह ं हु आ है तो आप दुबारा से

On final submission of online application, Application Number is generated by the system. If the same has
not been generated and you are disconnected midway due to any reason, you have to login and click to
“SAVED APPLICATION” menu of Application. If your partial saved application is there you can view and
continue your filled application from there. If it is not partially saved then you have to fill it again. You are
advised to keep saving application form after completion of each section of application.

Applicant cannot submit more than one application for the same Post code, if a candidate submits more than
one application successfully for same post code, then only the latest application with application fee (if
applicable) will be considered and other applications will be rejected.

On the basis of following conditions applications of CEPTAM-09/A&A Advt. will be rejected:
Not meeting EER, incomplete or partially filled applications, Applications not received through proper
channel/mode, Application having blurred/Irrelevant Photo /Signature, Underage and Overage as on crucial
date of eligibility etc. as on crucial date of eligibility. If a candidate submits more than one application
successfully for same post code, then only the latest application with application will be considered and other
applications will be rejected.

What should I do if there is a lot of delay to access the page for online application?

ऑनलाइन आवेदन के लए पृ ठ तक पहु ं चनेम बहु त दे र होने के बहु त से कारण हो सकते ह जैसे इंटरनेट क ग त, एक
ह ं समय म बड़ी सं या म एक साथ उ मीदवार आवेदन का योग कर रह ह इ या द। अतः अगर आप पंजीकरण के

The delay in accessing the online application page depends upon various factors like Internet Speed, large
number of applicants using the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the page
for registration immediately/quickly, please retry after some time.

No. The option/preference once given by the candidate will be treated as final and irreversible. No request
for change of examination city/Centre/Shift/date will be entertained. Whereas CEPTAM reserves the right to
add/delete any examination city other than chosen by candidate depending upon the operational constraints.

Check the details you are entering to retrieve your Admit Card. You may not be able to retrieve if details
entered are not exactly same as given in your application form. It can also happen if your application is
rejected due to rejection criteria (refer Section 3.4 in Advertisement). Check your name in rejection list also.

The selection process will consist of Tier–I [Computer Based Test (CBT)] and Tier-II (Trade / Skill /
Physical fitness & capability test, wherever applicable). The Score of Tier-I (CBT) may be normalized as per
requirement. The Tier-I (CBT) will consist of objective type-multiple choice questions only. The syllabus of
the examinations will be commensurate to essential educational requirement (EER) and other essential
requirement (OER) for the post code. The medium for examination will be Hindi and English. Tier-I
examination is for Provisional selection and Tier-II (Trade / Skill / Physical fitness & capability test,

Electronic gadgets like Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, pen drive, laptops, calculator, any other
communication devices, wrist watch, pen, pencil, ornaments and jewellery and any other prohibited items as
mentioned in admit card instructions are strictly not allowed inside the examination hall.

In any such case, the candidature will be summarily cancelled and no correspondence in this regard may be
entertained. The defaulter candidates may be debarred permanently or for a specified period from future
recruitments. In addition to that, CEPTAM reserves the right to initiate legal action against such candidates.
Prohibited items (mobile phone, calculator, etc.) will also be confiscated.

The computer interface is easy to use and requires no previous knowledge of computer. Candidates would be
required to sit before a computer terminal and use computer-mouse while attempting the questions.
Therefore the candidates, at the most, need to know only how to use computer-mouse in CBT.

The Computer based exam is more or less the same except that a candidate reads a question on a terminal
and clicks on the correct answer; instead of reading a paper booklet and using a pencil/pen to darken the

How can a candidate practice for Computer Based Test?

सीबीट या से प रचय करने के लए उ मीदवार को वैबसाइट पर 02 स ताह पू व उपल ध बनावट टे ट (Mock

Test) के मा यम से अ यास करने क सलाह द जाती है । उ मीदवार िजतनी भी बार चाहे अ यास कर सकते ह ।

To familiarize with CBT process, candidates are advised to go through the mock test available on website, 02
weeks prior to examination. Candidates can practise as many times as he wants.

No, each candidate will be allotted a specific terminal/computer node at the time of biometric registration.
Hence candidates have to take the test on this specific allotted node. Change in terminal/computer system
will be allowed by centre coordinator only in extreme cases of technical problem ascertained and same

No. CEPTAM does not undertake any detailed scrutiny of the applications before the Tier-II (Trade / Skill /
Physical fitness & capability test, wherever applicable) Test and applicants (except those applicants whose
applications are summarily rejected), are allowed to appear in the Trade Test and their eligibility is verified
only after the Trade Test. Merely a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Trade Test will not be
considered as a ground for his being eligible for the post(s) applied for. The Original certificates pertaining
to Essential Educational Requirement (EER) and other relevant documents will be examined completely at
the time of Document Verification and at the time of joining. If any information is found wrong regarding
eligibility criteria then candidature will be rejected. Candidates are advised to ensure meeting all eligibility
criteria to avoid rejection in future.

उ मीदवार वारा दज पोि टं ग क वर यता के आधार पर कया जाएगा ।

The function of the CEPTAM is to select and nominate the name of the suitable candidates to the concerned
DRDO Lab/Estt/Unit on the basis of the availability of the vacancies in various DRDO Labs/Estts/Units. The
nomination shall be on the basis of merit of the candidates in the Tier-I Examination, outcome of Tier-II
(Trade / Skill / Physical fitness & capability test, wherever applicable) and preference of the posting to
station given by the candidates for further processing of their candidature.

The preferences for posting to various stations related to the post code will be obtained from candidate at an
appropriate time. The preferences for posting to stations once given by the candidate will be treated as final
and irreversible.

DRDO reserves the rights to nominate the candidate anywhere in India depending upon organizational
requirement. Candidates are required to serve a minimum of five years at the first place of posting and no
request for transfer will be entertained during this period. However, they may be transferred to other
locations in public interest by DRDO.
