The celebration of the bicentennial in the Zócalo.

The first thing I want to talk about is the long wait we had to make my friends and I
to finally see the beginning of activities of the bicentennial celebration.

The creativity of the floats left me wondering, many representing important moments
and characters of the different moments of independence and revolution as a
modern Morelos in a giant paper boat and a huge figure of "Quetzalcoatl."

Until the float parade was the Zócalo at ten o'clock, we saw the beginning of the
main events scheduled, first opera singers with songs like "Mexico lindo y querido"
and others equally beautiful, filled with nationalist sentiment the public before the
time of the scream.

After a tree of life began to open their arms with bright colors and depictions of
different artists that reflect the things of everyday Mexican life, the truth I was very
far from the tree so I could not see very well that was all they did.

The air show was initiated some dancers, rhythmically synchronized and
represented a soft melody that culminated with the name "Mexico" formed by their
bodies and a big applause.

Then a turn of 360 degree view led us to the "birth" of a giant called the Colossus, a
representation of Mexican people from all different from those already known, were
also heroes who gave their lives for a nation free and sovereign.

Finally came the crucial moment, united in one voice and under the command of the
President of the Republic together native and foreign shouted a cheer for the heroes,
one living in Mexico. well, the voices of more than sixty thousand people came
together to celebrate two dates that changed the history of a great people.

The best of the night and hopefully a time that my friends and I, was the fireworks
and lights in the cathedral, had never seen fireworks so spectacular, and well,
although I had seen the light show on the Palace last year, continues to amaze the
advancement of audiovisual production today can see a cathedral salsa dancing for
example.

Too bad that many of my friends and family have lost this celebration, definitely as
they say in my land, "who is who enjoy living and in my memories I will have some
wonderful about this important event that only happens every 100 years.
La creatividad de las carrozas me dejó maravillada, muchas representaban
importantes momentos y personajes de los diferentes momentos de la
independencia y la revolución como un Morelos moderno en un barco de papel
gigante y una enorme figura de "Quetzacoalt".

Hasta que el desfile de carrozas llegó al Zócalo a las diez en punto, vimos el
comienzo de los principales eventos programados, en primer lugar cantantes de
ópera con canciones como "México lindo y querido" y otras más igual de bonitas,
llenaron de sentimiento nacionalista al público.

Después un árbol de la vida empezó a abrir sus brazos con brillantes colores y
representaciones de diferentes artistas que reflejaban las cosas cotidianas de la
vida del mexicano, la verdad yo estaba muy lejos del árbol por lo que no pude
apreciar muy bien que fue todo lo que hicieron.

El espectáculo en el aire lo iniciaron unos danzantes que, sincronizada y

rítmicamente, representaron una suave melodía que culminó con el nombre
"México" formado por sus cuerpos y un gran aplauso del público.

Luego, un giro de la vista de 360 grados nos llevó hacia el "nacimiento" de un

gigante llamado el coloso, una representación del pueblo mexicano, de todos
aquellos que diferente a los ya conocidos, también fueron héroes que dieron la vida
por una nación libre y soberana.

Finalmente llegó el momento crucial, unidos en una sola voz y bajo el mando del
Presidente de la República nativos y extranjeros gritamos unidos un viva por los
héroes, un viva por México. así, las voces de mas de sesenta mil personas se
unieron para celebrar dos fechas que cambiaron la historia de un gran pueblo.

Lo mejor de la noche y el momento que más esperamos mis amigos y yo, fue el de
los fuegos artificiales y las luces sobre la catedral, nunca había observado fuegos
artificiales tan espectáculares, y bueno, aunque ya había visto el espectáculo de
luces sobre el palacio el año anterior, sigue sorprendiendome el avance de la
producción de audiovisuales que hoy en día permiten ver a una catedral bailando
salsa por ejemplo.

Es una pena que muchos de mis amigos y familiares se hayan perdido esta
celebración, definitivamente como lo dicen en mi tierra: "quien lo vive es quien lo
gozar" y en mis recuerdos tendré unos maravillosos acerca de este importante
evento que sólo sucede cada 100 años.
