Chapter 2

Research Design

This chapter presents the methods and procedures that were used in this study, the validation of

research instrument and procedure of the study. It also states the instrument used in gathering data

to make this research a reliable one.

Method of Study and Techniques for Data Gathering

The researcher used causal comparative and applied using the survey questionnaires. The

survey was conducted by providing survey questionnaires to a number of identified respondents

from the school inside of Mangaldan National High School. The participants who were randomly

selected.

Source of Data

The researchers obtained their data by using or providing survey questionnaire for those

who have tasted the product made by the researcher, cucuraham balls.

Respondents of the Study

The respondents of the study were acquired by convenience sampling among the students

of Mangaldan National High School. The researcher utilized only 40 students: 5 students each for

grades 7 to 10, and 10 students each for grades 11 and 12.


Construction and Validation of Research Instrument

The Survey questionnaire was about the acceptability and profitability of the Cucuraham

balls. The survey questionnaire was given to the randomly selected students of Mangaldan

National High School after the free trial taste of the sample Cucuraham balls.
