1. For each of the following molecules, determine the approximate 1H NMR

chemical shift for each of the signals, using the NMR Chemical Shift Table.
2. Tell precisely how you would use the proton NMR spectra to distinguish
between the following pairs of compounds:
a. 1-bromopropane and 2-bromopropane
b. propanal and propanone
c. ethyl acetate (MeCO2Et) and methyl propanoate (EtCO2Me)
d. 1-butyne and 2-butyne

3. Below are two sets of spectrums (Spectrums A and B). Which of these
spectrum represents Phenol and Benzaldehyde. Provide explanations in
your answers.
