BRIEF LESSON PLAN IN BREAD AND PASTRY FOR GRADE 8

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:

A. Name and describe the tools and equipment in baking.


B. Demonstrate how to use the tools and equipment in baking.
C. Apply in real life situation the importance of tools and equipment in
baking.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Use Tools and Bakery Equipment


Materials: Baking tools, Visual Aids and Pictures
References: K to 12 Learning Module in Bread and Pastry Exploratory Course
for Grades 7 & 8 pp. 4 – 17

III. PROCEDURE

A. Activities
Introduce a game called “Pinoy Henyo” about our topic for the day
and give the mechanics of the game.
B. Analysis
The lesson deals with the tools and equipment used in bread and
pastry production. I will discuss on the tools and equipment used in
baking and demonstrate how to use them properly and I will let my
students re – demonstrate how to use tools and equipment properly.
C. Abstraction
a. What are the different tools and equipment used in baking?
b. How are tools and equipment in baking works?
c. How important having the tools and equipment in Bread and Pastry
production?
D. Application
Student re – demonstration on the use of baking tools and
equipment.

IV. Assessment

Classification of tools based on their usage.

V. Assignment

Research on the different types of oven.
