UNIT/CHAPTER OBJECTIVE/GENERALIZATION/BIG IDEA:


 This lesson plan is part of a unit based on locomotor skills.

LESSON OBJECTIVE:
● The student will be able identify the 8 locomotor skills given a word bank with 80% accuracy.
● Given a list of all 8 locomotor skills, the student will be able to list the learning cues with 80% accuracy.
● The student will be able to describe the 8 locomotor skills given a list with 80% accuracy.

STANDARDS ADDRESSED:
 MKA.6.4 Explains how to correctly perform a skill
 MKA.7.4 Designs and implements simple strategies in game-like activities.
 PELST Standard(s): 11a: Candidates use technology and technology-based resources to falcate
developmentally student learning. 11c: Candidates effectively use and manage all technology available to
them and explore uses of emerging technology. They promote the equitable, ethical, and legal use of
technology resources.

MATERIALS:
● Laptops/computer room
● Pencil/pen
● Access to internet

BACKGROUND and RATIONALE:


● Students should know all 8 locomotor skills including learning cues and movements involved.
● The students will use their knowledge of the locomotor skills they have learned to complete this lesson.
● This will be the last lesson on locomotor skills.
● The lesson or technology use will be modified to meet the needs of diverse learners.

PROCEDURES AND TIMELINE:

Introduction: (10 mins)

 Those who do not master the objectives will be given more one-on-one time till fully understanding the
concept of the lesson. They will be quizzed during the beginning of the next day.
