Leadership has been the highlight of my high-school experience as of right now.

A lot of

memories that I have created in the past months revolve around this class. Without leadership I

would not have met all the amazing people that I have the privilege to call my friends. Many

events such as club rush, CADA, homecoming, and playoffs would not have been as memorable

if I was not apart of this leadership team. My time at Edison has been amazing, and I would like

to share three moments that stick out to me the most.

One of my many memories of leadership that I would like to talk about is CADA. CADA

was definitely not what I expected it to be, but it was so much fun to meet other leadership

students from different areas. I loved showing off our school spirit in front of multiple schools as

we walked around. My favorite moment at CADA was during lunch when we started a cheer-off

with Cesar Chavez High School. I do not think that I will ever forget screaming at their faces as

we walked to our last workshop. I cannot wait for CADA next year!

Another memory that stands out to me is homecoming week. In my position, it was really

stressful to get people to dress up and earn spirit points. Although my class was in last place,

certain moments made my first ever homecoming amazing. Dressing up with friends and

classmates made the week so much more exciting. It was so cool showing off our school spirit

around campus and playing games during the rally. All of the time spent on our class dance,

mural, and float was worth it and if I could, I would definitely do these things all over again.

My third favorite memory was the day we were placed into our teams. I thought it was so

creative to incorporate Harry Potter and the sorting hat. It was hilarious watching and listening to

Mr. Batugo assign us to groups that we wanted to be in. I will never forget the moment I was

placed into activities. I was caught off guard as I was expecting to be in either design or sound

and spirit, but I am happy with where I am. These moments will continue to be one of my
favorite memories in freshman year.

I do not know what I would have done without leadership. I would not have as many

bonds with the sophomores and juniors without it. Leadership has introduced many obstacles,

new friendships, and plenty of memories to last a lifetime. Leadership has given me

opportunities to make new friends at different high-schools and has helped me get out of my

shell. This semester has been such as rollercoaster of emotions but I would never change

anything that has happened these past months.
