CHAPTER II

METHODOLOGY

This chapter discusses the methods and procedures that will be utilized in the study. It

includes research design, research locale, sampling design, instrumentation and procedures.

Research Design

The researcher employed a descriptive-quantitative research design. This method deemed

appropriate in helping the researcher in identifying agricultural extension project-processes.

Determining issues and challenges in project implementation; and determining effects of municipal

led agriculture based projects in household level of target beneficiaries in terms of improvement in

income, farming practices, empowerment and farming practice sustainability in four (4) barangays

of the Municipality of Aleosan, Cotabato.

Locale and Respondents of the Study

The Municipality of Aleosan consists of 19 barangays. Among which, the Barangays of San

Mateo, Sta Cruz , Mingding and Katalicanan were the selected remote areas of this study. A total of

sixty (60) beneficiary farmers were selected in these four barangays which were divided into the

following, rice famers (20), corn farmers (20), vegetable farmers (10) Livestock farmers (10).
