I know it's time to eat when I feel hungry, and I know what to eat because of how I was raised
and what foods I was told were nutritious or healthy. I also eat the kinds of food that were
provided in my house, some of those were not healthy. My mom always told me that I need a
little bit from each food group: carbs, vegetables, meat, dairy.

What is food?
Paragraph- Food makes an organism live and be strong. Humans eat food, animals do too.
Food can be nutritious for our body or sometimes it can hurt it. When we eat too much food it
can make us gain weight and if we don’t eat enough we can lose weight and become extremely
unhealthy. There are many types of food, we eat it when we are hungry and we usually eat food
that we like or that sounds good to us. Food makes our bodies strong and gives us energy to
live.
Sentence- Food is something that any living organism consumes to have energy to live.

What is Rhetoric?
Rhetoric is the language or type of tool for persuasiveness that the author uses to convey a
reader of an idea. It has many parts to it including, arrangement of words, audience that an
author is addressing, style or language of words used and delivery which is the way that an
author delivers the message to persuade a topic.
How do fallacies work?
Fallacies are persuasion of an idea but in a false manner, they work to capture the audience to
believe something that is not in its truest form. There are many types of fallacies that can be
used according to the point of the claim.

1. What is food?
Food is something that is incredibly crucial to any living organism. Food can be altered and
advertised in many ways to convince a consumer to purchase it. Food is crucial to
understanding how the human mind and body work together and the ways food impacts or
changes a certain environment. Food is usually categorized in two categories; healthy or not
healthy and it is usually assumed wealthier people are able to afford healthier food.

2. What about food is a question worth investigating or a problem worth solving?


Food does create many problems across the globe, it also correlates to poverty and
malnourishment vs too much food intake which can cause obesity. I think that when food
causes these problems, which it does on an extensive level we as a society should investigate
why these problems are unresolved.

3. Who most needs to know this answer/solution?


I think we as a people need to know the solution to these problems. Society as a whole is the
only one, if working as one could fix the extensive problems that food presents.

4. What is the best mode or median to reach that audience?


The best median to reach the audience is a research based argument.

1. What is the rhetorical triangle/situation?
The rhetorical triangle includes ethos, logos and pathos. Ethos can be referred to as the
speaker, the credibility of the person that is speaking. Ethos or the ethics of the speaker is
established in several ways; profession, status, research. Logos is the message that the other is
trying to convey. It is made to represent facts that prove the claims that the author is conveying.
Pathos is the audience, how the audience feels or the emotion of the audience based on the
argument.
2. What is that of food in the local/national/global?
Food is so different across the globe, food security for one is so different in local areas
compared to countries across the globe, specifically in developing countries. Food security is
not stable in developing countries and this can even lead to an increase in foodborne illnesses.
3. How do you fit/where do you fit in this triangle?
In this triangle I fit in at pathos, I am emotionally connected to food and the emotion that food
brings across the globe. I examined pathos in my rhetorical analysis food commercial. Pathos, I
found is an extremely impactful use of conveying to the audience to buy.
