inspires me to successfully accomplish this task.
Last but not the least, I would like to thank Almighty God for giving
me strength, knowledge, ability and opportunity to undertake this Work

possible.

A healthcare center, health center, or community health center is
one of a network of clinics staffed by a group of general practitioners and
nurses providing healthcare services to people in a certain area. Typical
services covered are family practice and dental care, but some clinics
have expanded greatly and can include internal medicine, pediatric,
women’s care, family planning, pharmacy, optometry, laboratory
testing, and more. In countries with universal healthcare, most people
use the healthcare centers. In countries without universal healthcare,
the clients include the uninsured, underinsured, low-income or those
living in areas where little access to primary health care is available.

The clinic itself is lack of sanitation.
No reception area.
No proper comfort room.

It’s so hot inside the clinic and I feel so uncomfortable

every time I’m inside the clinic.
No store around the clinic.
It is noisy inside the clinic.

After the training, I learned that Work Immersion is not just a
requirement to be completed but it is an opportunity to show what skills,
knowledge and talents that I have and an opportunity to experience the
feeling of being a professional already.

I also learned on how to associate with the staffs, administrator and

to the patients. The staffs taught us on how to test blood pressure,
measure height and weight, test blood sugar and body temperature
which related to my future course. Tita Coney also taught me on how to
use the microscope and on how to perform a urine test. And Tita Maya
taught me on how to deal with TB patients and how’s the procedure of
threating Tuberculosis.

Aside from the that I had relating to my course, this Work

Immersion allowed me to get acquainted with the employees of
Macabebe Health Center. Being with them is a pleasure because I was
working with them. During my stay there as a trainee, they kept me on
encouraging and motivating me to study hard and to do my best always.

I really had a very meaningful and memorable Work Immersion in

the Macabebe Rural Health Unit-1. Though I already finished working
there as a trainee, I am looking forward to working with them, not as
trainee anymore, but a professional like them, someday.

Do action that can help to build faster the new building
and so they can transfer to the new RHU-1 building.
The RHU-1 should request to the DOH Pampanga Division
for more stocks of medicines due to the public demand.
Hire more staff.
They should hire a sanitation man to sanitate the entire
clinic and a receptionist to monitor the telephone/phone
calls from other patient’s concerns.
They should build a comfort room for the patients and
staffs.
Hire a Security Guard.
Put Air Condition inside the clinic.

Be responsible enough and finish the work immersion on

time.
Act like a professional.
Personal hygiene is important before and after going in
the center.
Use gloves and facemask to protect yourself from
different viruses and diseases in the center.
