Online The students would have already watched a video posted by the teacher about
Activity place value. In the video, base-10 blocks will be introduced.
1. Students will be sent the link to a base-10 block simulation.
2. On this simulation, students can drag the different base-10 blocks to
model a number.
3. The student can change the block values and if they want to incorporate
decimals.
4. For their homework assignment, the teacher will provide the students
with a list of numbers and they will model those numbers with the blocks.
5. The students will use the site’s screen shot feature to take a picture of
what they modeled. They will then insert those onto their homework
assignment document.
Pedagogy

6. Students will then submit a word document online with the models that
they created.
